TIM CURTIS
Executive Director
Tim came to Monteverde in 1981 to teach, eventually marrying and settling here. While he and his wife Helena raised their two sons, Tim served as an administrator at Monteverde Friends School, worked as Communications Assistant and Coordinator of Educational Programs at the Monteverde Institute, and served on the board of both institutions. In addition, for nearly 20 summers, he directed Journey's End Farm Camp in his native Pennsylvania.
He is strongly committed to sustainability through cleaner technology, reduced consumption, community-building, and a strengthened connection to the natural world. When not at the Community Fund or working on his house, Tim loves to play folk music, read, and walk the trails of Monteverde, including his daily 8km commute to work.
